We are enjoying both mountain climbing and photography, also pursuing both.
Since foundation in 1969,
ASA is a mountaineering association
whose main purpose has been to
photography of mountain
landscapes across Japan.
The current number of members
is approximately 50
(including nonactive members).
There are almost equal numbers
of men and women.
ASA is a member of
the Tokyo Mountaineering Federation,
continue to climb safely
as a mountaineering association,
capturing a beautiful scenery
on our cameras.
We are reporting and writing articles
for mountain magazines,
and also involved in the publication of
“Yamakei Alpine Guide
for Okutama/Oku-Chichibu”
and “Yamakei Prefectural Alpine Guide
for mountains of Tokyo”
published by Yama to Keikoku-sha.
Additionally, once a year,
we hold photo exhibition of
works taken by members,
and to produce
the original calendar “Gaku”
(A2 size, 13 pages)
We aim to capture
the moving photo opportunities
created by nature,
and share them with
many mountain climbing
and photography enthusiasts.
